LifeStudio

Want to learn to live "well", but would like to learn more? Join us in our Life Studio!

The LifeStudio is a place you can learn about Wellness and topics such as QiGong, Yoga, Thai massage, breathing exercises to relieve stress, and more topics to enhance your overall feeling of Wellness! Once you have learned the foundation of the topic, you may find ways to implement these activities into your healthy lifestyle either at Campus Rec or on your own!

Drums Alive

Wednesday, 5:30-6:15 pm, CRCE MP1, Jenna

Drums Alive! combines traditional aerobic movements with the powerful beat and rhythm of the drums. This is a workout for the entire body, mind and spirit! Feel and experience the pulsating rhythms, dynamic movements and powerful percussions of this new high-energy dance and rhythm program.

Restorative Yoga

Friday, 5:30-6:30 pm, CRCE MP1 and MP2, Jenn Allen

Restorative yoga helps to trigger the parasympathetic nervous system and is responsible for bringing our bodies and minds back into balance. It also helps to lower the heart rate and blood pressure, stimulates the immune system and is beneficial for overall body health and peace of mind. Some call it the dessert of yoga! We will be holding each pose for up to 10 minutes with the support of various props, such as bolsters, blankets, blocks and straps. Please bring a blanket to class.

Start Swinging!

Sunday, 5-7 pm, CRCE MP1, Nadia

You've seen it on TV or at local swing dances, now try it! Learn the basics of the popular East Coast Swing and discover the fun in social dancing. Get ready to move! This is an energetic dance that will make you sweat while you listen to great tunes, old and new. Come alone or with a partner.
